How did you get those bruises? I wouldn't let anything happen to you. You were reading some book, and taking notes. I read a book once.

  14. How very sad :-(
    Reminds me of once when I was in London and I saw this woman with blood running down her face, streaks of it all over her face. She was perfecly well-dressed, didn't look like she had just been in a fight or anything, just an ordinary / elegant 50-something woman with a LOT of blood running down her face.

    I stopped, turned and walked up to her. "Excuse me, are you alright?" "Quite alright, thank you", she answered and kept walking.

    There was a policeman further down the street and I hoped that someone else stopped her as well because it was all so strange. She sounded hollow, shocked.

    A very powerful and touching illustration!

    Wow, the bruises on her skin and repeating that pattern on her clothing was a nice touch!

    And even though her hair was done in a simple style you still managed to put tons of detail into the braids and the part down the middle.

  23. My god, these are wonderful. I believe this is a great project that you're working on. These are exactly the kind of illustration that I'd like to make. They're just... great.
    I thought about making something like this, illustrations inspired by missed connections in Romania [the country I live in] but I don't think it's gonna be that succesful. I donno what exactly makes it work in USA :)
    I watched the presentation video that you made for this project and I find it fascinating.

    When i bump into things, i immediately envision the bruise forming.

    so i didn't find this sad.
    i thought the sentiment was lovely.
    as is the painting.
